Family Computer

December 16, 2008

Do you still remember this combo secret code “Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right, B, A, B, A, Select Start” wahahahah yeah right, thats the code that we used for 30 lives on Super Contra Game. How about the secret warp zone in world 1-2 and 4-1 in Super Mario, and the invisible 1UP’s  and of course the cloud zone where you can shop for *kaching* coins using a plant that goes up.. ehehehehe. and lastly the 100 lives by means of jumping to the shell of a turtle near the flag pole in world 3.

Family Computer (FamiCom) was released on 80’s (don’t know the exact date), it was the best-selling gaming console that time and it was expensive. It also has an adds on gaming gadget like “gun” for wild duck game and some shooting game; and inflatable bicycle for racing (my cousin had this one).

My cousin was the first one who owned a Family Computer, and we go to their house every morning until night to play this gaming console. Sometimes we borrowed his FamiCom, and played it in our home where my dad gets mad because it will cost a lot of electricity bill and he thinks that our TV set will get busted with this console.. eheheheh. Same scenario with my cousins when they borrowed the console, their parents get mad because of the electric bill…. wahahha. With that we never tried to borrow it again. ehehehe. After years I got my own Family Computer through my savings.. eheheheheh. I think it will still work ehehehe.

Some games that I played are: Twin Bee, Super Mario, Super Mario 3, Mario  Missing, Mario World, Mario Brothers, Super Contra, Macros, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Dragon Ball Z, Streetfighter, Mahjong, Charlies Circus, Urban, Rockman, F1, Tennis, Basketball, Golf, Wild Duck and Load Runner (I forgot the other games ehehehe)

Here are some photos of my old Home Video Family Computer and some game cartridges:
